I had a patient who had tried multiple modalities and couldn’t get any relief from a very sore shoulder which had bothered him for a few years.

Upon examination, his ROM was very decreased in adduction and also flexion/extension. When I treated him, he felt almost total relief. A few more visits and he was in great relief and thanked me profusely.

My question in this endeavour makes me wonder why so many various practitioners couldn’t bring any substantial relief to this patient. We all take the same basic education and some don’t do all of the related areas and this proves to be inefficient to the overall outcome to the person in pain.
