Magnesium is involved in a diverse range of biochemical reactions in the body, including muscle and nerve function and blood pressure regulation. Magnesium bisglycinate is gentle on the stomach and has higher absorption and bioavailability that other forms of magnesium.

Magnesium is required for energy production. It contributes to the structural development of bone and is required for the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and the antioxidant glutathione.
